Forgot to answer your questions. DR's are nitto 05R's. And as far as track prep I couldn't tell you. I'm too new to know the difference. I've only been twice. Another bit of info is the car has just over 700rwhp. Thanks

I've watched XJer slip his clutch, don't recall the brand, a bunch of times. He's been able to slip it out longer than I thought was possible and it works and doesn't stink up.
I'd try 4000, slipping it, the gear should help you not need to slip it as much.

Why, my clutch grabs hard and actually seemed to be easier on the car! At 3500 the only way it would work is slip the hell out of the clutch, personally I think that's going to kill the clutch allot faster! Good luck but sorry 2500-3000 is not going to get you anywhere, not in this car! You want good times you have to run them hard, that's all there is too it. If your blown making allot of power then lower rpms might work, but never gonna happen with a cammed car. The gear should help with launch rpms, try 4k and work your way up, trust me on this! If you can't handle trying this then don't expect your times to drop.

Supreme, thanks for the advice. The car is blown making just over 700 rwhp. I have no problems trying something new / different.

For some reason I was thinking your cammed only... with a blower you not going to need 5k... but I would still start at 3800-4000 and work your way up in 200 rpms at a time. I have a feeling 4000-4200 might be a good spot. Good luck man, these cars take a allot of practice to launch!

You honestly dont even need to worry about the actual 1/4 time until you get more comfortable with the launch. I stopped looking at my ET and MPH until i started seeing my 60ft in the area i needed. Usually the top half of the track is a lot easier.
