Mass air flow sensor

So I'm at work on the internet @ 3am browsing the internet. I came across this.
Granatelli GM LS Series Slot Style Mass Air Flow Sensor w/ Cold Air Tuning

Does anybody have this or know anyone that has one? If so does this particular sensor make a difference? I don't need it just curious
