Review of CXRacing Coilovers

So, I took the plunge and picked up a set of CXRacing coilovers.

Cons:
No pillowball mounts
No camber adjustment in the top of the strut

Pros:
Easy install
30 way damper adjustment
Quality parts
Good price

In all, for about $700, you get an amazing deal for street/ strip coilovers. They are easy to install and adjust. The only issue that I had in installation is that the holes for the sway bar links were too small, so I had to drill them out. I informed the engineers at CXRacing and they should fix that issue going forward.

They ride excellently and the handling is outstanding. You use your existing top spring seats, both front and back. There is no upper camber adjustments, so those who want to really dial in their geometry should skip these.

Setting the dampers from 1-10 gives you a super-comfortable ride. 11-20 is similar to stock. 21-30 is worthy of road-course driving, but will beat you to death on regular roads. I do not feel any bounce at all.

The final review: Unless you are a hardcore racer, these are outstanding for a price point under $800.

Thanks for the review on the CX coil overs. Sounds to me like a great deal in quality versus price!

Hey, your Camaro looks sick! How much did you actually lower it front & back? Also Hendricks-Engineering has a NEW product called their off-set rear differential bushings that raises the axle shafts back up where they need to be, that will prevent future problems from lowering past 1.5 in.

These are still performing amazingly.

I am not sure about the total amount of lowering because I went to lowering springs first.

The rear had about .5" lower to go. The fronts had about 1" left.

How do you feel about the difference from lowering springs to these? The main question I have is... Going from lowering springs to the coilovers, does the lowest setting feel like lowering springs and only allow you to get stiffer? Or can you go softer like stock or softer.

You can completely customize the ride. These are soooo much better than lowering springs.
