Winter tires and Rims on SS
HI Everyone,
I was wondering who knows about the specs for 18in rims for the SS model, since the Bembo are bigger then the regular Caliper. D |

I don't think 18's will fit over those brakes.

This is my winter tire/wheel combo from Tire Rack. 18" wheels have no fitment issue with the brake calipers.

Apparrantly the brakes pads for the SS Brembo have now changed in production so that the 18" rims will no longer fit once you reorder brake pads. The new pads going on at the factory are larger and 18" rims will no longer fit. (The weights are being added to the brake pads and now they are 1" longer) TheTire Rack has now taken 18" rims off as an offering. I almost bought 18" rims with winter tires from them but they cancelled my order based on the latest news from GM. I don't know what you guys are going to do who have already bought 18" rims, hopefully the brake pads will still be available thru aftermarket. I am going to wait for a while to see what happens.

18" SS rims
These fit fine and tire rack knows their stuff.
Thes are MSW type 12. around 1200.00 without sensors or 1460 with sensors. Plenty of clearance on the caliper.
