What's Wrong With My Order?

Is it unusual for an order to take 2 weeks to get out of 1100 status? Those hosers are killing me eh...

2 weeks isn't all that unsual. It really depends on what your dealer told you. If they tell you the order will be placed in a couple of weeks, then that's what should happen. It's all about allocation!!!

Don't worry...my order sat at 1100 for a good 4 months

Those were the days...

But Becky is right, it's all about allocation!!!

Your order is siitng at 1100 because your dealer doesn't have allocation [think of it as 'permission'] to order one. If they did, you'd be at 2000 status with a day or so of ordering and well on your way.

Welcome to my world.

Check Signanture line.

Looking for dealer #3 that is not full of it.

Denny Beck Chevrolete is a den of liars also.

I have also learned, dont give them a deposit until they can produce a 2000 status order or better.

That sucks!!!! My order will not sit for 4 months! If something doesn't start to happen soon, I will cancel my order and look elsewhere!!!!!! I can wait a reasonable amount of time (dealer said 6-8 weeks), but it's been 2 and I'm no closer now than when I placed the order. Any suggestions?????

First call dealer ask about allocation, ask where on the list you are? Do they have camaro's there first of all?

Yes. They have 3 2010 2SS's and but no 2011's. They haven't even had any 2011's delivered yet.

Just loaded two 2011 camaro's on two seperate trucks today, one bound for Tucson, and one to Sacramento....

Don't wait too long, you car CAN get built if you go with a dealer with allocation!

Cancel your order and go to a real dealer.

I won't and don't think I haven't thought of you. The dealer I'm "dealing" with is really ok. My father worked as a salesman for years at their Olds/Caddy store here and was top salesman for most of his time there. We've bought through them in the past and had great experiences even though their Chevrolet dealership is about 100 miles away. First time we've actually ORDERED a vehicle though. The local Chevrolet dealer is huge but with their attitude, I honestly don't know how they sell cars. If this falls through, I will definitely give you a shot at it.

Good luck. No allocation = No Camaro. That's where I was last year, May to November at 1100 (for half a dozen reasons).. Call Scotty, or Becky, or Anna or Eric as they WILL not BS you in any way.

Kepp us posted.

My dealer had an allocation when I ordered. I got my car 25 days later! If your dealer has to sell one or two cars before they can get another allocation, plus you are 3rd in line to order one it could be a year before you see your car! Lets face it, sales aren't as strong as last summer. My dealer still has two cars from early spring, plus others in stock. I hate to say it, but winter is around the corner now and sales will slow even more. If you dealer can't sell those units to open up an allocation for you I would find another dealer. Summer is almost over!

I found the exact Camaro I ordered with RS package and color in Central Arkansas. I think I will cancel my dealer order and go pick this up. THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME! And after Camaro Scotty says the plant is going to shut down for 2 weeks, there's even another delay. I can get this car for just $340 above my quoted order price so..........
