beat a z06? I was referring to the 7:41 lap time. I don't expect a stock z28 to beat a current or recent z06. but to beat a 7:41 I could see what I wrote.

Yes someone is making a Camaro that will be more like the heritage of the Z/28. As for price there is only one person around here that could guesstimate that....

Yes, I have a lot of Petes products on my car and this is what has got me intrigued.

BUT, is this a one off car or can anyone basically buy this?

When I made that post I was unaware of the ZL1s 'ring time. But I did remember the Z06 posting a 7:41 or 7:42 when it debuted. So when I saw a question about beating a 7:41 I assumed it was in reference to the Z06. I now retract my earlier post

It will be MORE powerful, MORE capable and MORE expensive than the ZL1 if I read Pete correctly.

Take a look at this. Sounds like Ford isn't going to let the ZL1 be top dog very long.

Pedders Suspension A 7:41 is an outstanding time and right about what we would have expected. Lower it an inch, add more front rubber and the ZL1 is seconds faster. But we want to be 22 seconds faster

ZR1 7:19.63 General Motors conducted test,[13] base specification car with optional super-slick track DOT competition tires (Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Zero Pressure)[14] and non-stock safety equipment including a roll cage equipped, video confirmed.
Z06 7:22.68 General Motors conducted test,[16] base specification car with optional super-slick track DOT competition tires (Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Zero Pressure) and Z07 package
ZL1 7:41.27
Development 5th Gen 8:20

ZR1 638
ZL1 580
Z06 505
5th Gen 420

The ZL1 is an AWESOME machine. The ZR1 AWESOMENESS on Steroids To come close to a ZR1 I want more front rubber, more power, more brakes, a lower CG, more aggressive sways, Supercar coilovers and full Pedders bushes. I want it lighter and better balanced. The power has to be all motor. Normally apsirated power and eye popping torque.say 681 HP @ 6800 RPM, and 588 LB / FT @ 5600 RPM on the engine dyno would be nice if I were just pulling numbers out of the air

Not worried. Adding power doesn't mean a thing if the car can't hook
