F.A.S.T. Dave Dudek's Hemi... 9 sec passes on bias ply tires...
*** SEE THE POST FURTHER DOWN THIS PAGE... THE 9 SEC BARRIER HAS BEEN BROKEN ***
Two of my favorite forms of drag racing are the Pure Stock series and the Factory Appearing Stock Tires series. The records in both series continue to be reset, and the times are becoming mind boggling. One of the Mopar camps most consistent F.A.S.T. series record setters has been Dave Dudek with his 1969 Hemi Road Runner, and he has broken his own record again... running 10.056 @ 138.31 MPH on bias ply stock type tires! Here is a link about the event: http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2...05/?refer=news Here is a video where Dave took part in the Hemi vs Buick vs Vette showdown: All three of the "Big 3" auto brands have their competitive cars, and the competition has been amazing over the last ten years or so! F.A.S.T. Dave Dudek's Hemi... 9 sec passes on bias ply tires...
Both Dave Dudek's 496 CID Hemi Road Runner & Lane Carey's 588 CID (429 based) Mach1 Mustang went into the 9s @ 139+ MPH at the Factory Appearing Stock Tires (F.A.S.T.) races this weekend. Lane Carey won the FAST final race, the first time Dave Dudek has lost in 4 years. Congrats to Lane & the Ford fans... but Dave and his Hemi are not retiring... Here come the 8.50s...
Also, congrats to Lane and Dave for breaking the 9 second barrier. First video is Lane's 9.92 second is Dave's 9.98. Notice Dave's brake lights are on before the end of the 1/4 mile. Both were apparently warned not to exceed 140 MPH trap speed... Lane Dave XS
