You don't need to dump her , if you play the cards right , she will dump herself , clean , pure and remorseless .

Never take advice from a woman.

Promise to look into trading to Dodge, maybe even take her along the first time but make the deal harder.

"Honey I can't live without the leather cupholder, so we will have to keep looking." she will understand at first.

Stall for 2 months, by then it's way more than the car she hates you for.

She's your girlfriend not your wife. Sounds like she has a control issue. Tell her to go buy her own Challenger and let you buy what you like. If she continues on with the negativity then it's time to move on unless you like being dominated for the rest of your life. It will only get worse the longer she can control you. Good luck with that one.....................

Now it's moved to off topic...fun is over.

Yet, "some drunk guy insulted me" gets to stay in General Discussion.

My Gf didn't like the car at first. Same complaint: too jerky. I swapped Redline in the trans and now it shifts much smoother. Then she complained that she couldn't see over the dash or the door (she's 5'3). I admit she does look cute with just the top of her head visible from outside the car.

I told her I was going to trade it in for a Hyundai. She likes the Camaro a lot better now!

If you're that bothered by her preference in cars, maybe she should dump you... I think my husband hates my car. So, Ladybug and I just leave him home and go do our thing without him now and then... We don't have to agree on everything.

So what part of the story aren't we getting? I highly doubt that the two of you are fighting tooth and nail over a car-- and if you are, you shouldn't be with her in the first place.
