whistling noise when I rapidly accelerate hard
I am having a whistling noise when I rapidly accelerate hard. The only mods that I have done are exhaust approx. 9 months ago & RX catch can approx. 4 mo ago. I know I have been hearing this for about a month or so. Has anyone else had this situation? Thanks.

Probably a leak at a gasket.
When I did a throttle body swap on my Monte, the whistle was noticeable, had to redo the swap and change the gasket.

You have a vaccum leak some where. Recheck all your connections and retighten them. If it is still there start checking for cracked vaccum lines, that is if it sounds like the noise is coming from under the hood. It could also be and exhaust leak. Good luck.

Well, took the car into dealer about the whistling noise & they told me that it is coming from the aftermarket can installed. I guess I will call RX & ask them if there is a fix. Thanks you guys for your help.

Dumb question, but are the lines to the can connected properly?

There are no dumb questions brother. Yes they are installed in the correct locations. When they are finished with my car & get it home I will double check to see if the 2 fittings in the can are loose "turn freely" & check security of lines @ the 4 locations.
The other items I took it in for was clunking nose when placed in reverse, twice took it in for rattling & squeeking noises in side which are driving me freakin crazy shortly after I bought the car & drivers door seal flipping in. |

Is the valve on the bottom threaded all the way out? (doubt it would make it whistle but you never know)

Threaded all the way out means its closed which is obviously the way you want your catch can unless you're emptying it.
