It goes by population. And a slew of other factors. NJ has one of the highest rates. I have a $250 deductible. No accidents or tickets. Good driver discount and a bunch of others. I don't have GEICO but I heard horror stories. Someone had switched to GEICO with a clean record then had a fender bender (not her fault) and GEICO doubled her rate. They didn't get a dime extra cause she switched back to Allstate and got a cheaper rate than GEICOs original rate upon switching back to Allstate.

Oh, wait till Obamacare kicks in......you should buy stock in smelling salts. They will be flying off the shelf when you see that increase in Health Care costs

I'm 24 an pay $170 a month, that's the total for 2 vehicles. full coverage on the Camaro and liability on my truck. When I first bought my truck at 18, an insurance n company quoted me $1000/month by myself lol. No wrecks or anything, of course I walked out!

Right, not that big of a deal, but when these threads clog up the entire forum constantly, it gets old. It's been asked 6 trillion times, along with, "What's the best intake?, What's the best exhaust?, What color do you like best?". Asking for people's insurance rates on a public forum will not help in any way, shape or form. Provider, age, driving record, marital status, etc., etc., etc., all play a vital role. Eh, carry on.

My insurance company is making me sign a form and prove that we are not driving our car more than 10k a year, or they will spike our insurance.. asking how many days we are commuting in it (zero) and how many miles each way (zero)...

REALLY it's just a fun / weekend car!

Not sure why you guys are paying so much for insurance unless its a driving record or age issue. It does REALLY pay to not get in accidents and not get speeding tickets.
As others have said, it's a geographic & demographic thing when it comes to car insurance. You live in a very big state with very few people (comparitively speaking) = low risk. What's to hit, an Elk?

In Georgia, Uninsured Motorist insurance is mandatory because there are so many folks driving around without insurance = high risk.

NJ might have you beat for highest in the country.

Now that I'm in TX. W/ the '12 Camaro and a '12 4Runner I pay 124/month.
