The White Camaro - thoughts? Pics? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I'm putting together my thoughts for a 2SS/RS order.

My prior (LS1) Camaro is white. I like white, and a side benefit is the car looks pretty clean given its advanced age.

Am thinking plain with no stripe, with just the black from the front and the wheels as contrast. Red interior.

Does anyone have any pics of a similar combo? Any thoughts on the white as a purchase choice?

I love my white one, BUT....I had to go with the black stripes. The beige interior is what sold me on the color though...Just the way it goes with the black accents in the cabin. To each his own.

It really doesn't matter what ya choose though. Its a camaro and a perma-grin always follows!

Current car is white -car looks awesome and as you say it stays looking good for years especially in hot climate

Black stripes may get a lot of heat in Austin

I saw white car locally with orange stripes and it looked good - but I do think that plain white outside and IOM interior will look good too

Main thing is that there are no real bad options here so go with what makes you feel good.

I ended up going IOM since it simply makes me smile every time I see it and it is like having a car with 4 colors : Red at dusk, Orange in daylight, pumpkin in overcast conditions - and OMG it burns / on fire in bright sunlight

I originally wanted IOM but being reminded of tomato soup in overcast scared me away!

Ron Craft in Baytown has a White Camaro with red stripes on their lot that is pretty sweet! I like White myself.

One of the biggest things about white over any other color I have seen is you can change the look of the car by changing the stripe color. I have left mine without stripes mainly because I enjoy the nice clean look of it. But when you install black stripes the car takes on an aggressive appearance. Red to me was more of a classey look and orange was old school they all look good. From the other colored cars I have seen they each have that one color that sets them off.

I think white is the best looking color on a 5th Gen. Really brings out the body lines.

Above all, white is THE best choice for those people who aren't inclined to obsessively polish and detail their cars.

Personally, I think plain white looks like a girl's car unless you add some stripes, then it looks pretty cool, manly cool. Flame away.
