I have axle-back Flowmaster AT's and on my last trip home (TX to GA) I calculated 32. Which came out to a tank and a half for the trip. The MPG read-out on my DIC never says higher than 27.9 though, and that's even if I reset it at the start of the trip when I first fill up.

I haven't modded much yet, other than a catch can. I've got a CAI, but haven't installed it yet.

The first 5 minutes of my commute is neighborhood roads, and I'm getting about 15 MPG. After that, the next 30 minutes is all highway. If I reset when I get on the highway, I'm getting around 30-31 MPG. If I don't reset it and drive round trip for a couple days I'm averaging around 29.8 MPG.

I certainly can't complain about that.

I'm interested in seeing if/how that changes once the CAI is installed.

In the end though, the MPG is really to make the wife happy. The HP is to make me happy.

Any car that is priced similar to the LS just isn't comparable in terms of what you get.. also, you'll never get bored of driving stick!
Yup!...1LS is a great DD for those that love the M6 ( like me....) great both around town and cruising at 85 on the highway (..which is legal in the local toll roads around here.......)
