LED Emblem
I have been trying to figure out a way to hold my power and ground wires to my speaker box with out it looking tacky. I think I found the way. A LED Black Widow emblem. I am using 3/8" plexi glass, black plasti-dip. and 1 1/2" of LED strip from Autozone. Started out with a sheet of plexi I cut out the black widow emblem using a scroll saw. Here it is next to another emblem like the center console, for size comparison. The final version will have a plasti-dip emblem in the center so only a small amount of plexi will be seen. A trough will be milled underneath with 3 LED lights tucked up in. Not sure how the wiring will work yet. Here is a better mock up Basement paint shop! Lots and Lots of plasti-dip. Sorry for the LONG LONG LONG delay. The plasti dip didnt work and I was pretty busy last week. I finally got around to repainting the emblem. Used Gloss Black Acrylic paint. 3 coats to cover up the LED lights. And a general overview of the trunk

That was a good Idea with the wires.. It would have looked bad with just the wires being exposed. Instead you put it on display with the emblem and lighting and it looks really good. Great idea, im liking the trunk setup..

Thanks! I really wanted a way to show off all my hardware without it being sloppy. I'm very happy with how it turned out.

JDP RS Halo Kit
So far I have jacked up the car and pulled out the wheel wells. Will update as the night goes on. First attempt at taking off the bumper. Need to watch the video once more. 4th times the charm. I found it easier to get to the 10mm bolts by removing the wheel well completely. Here is the front bumper off with the module hooked up ready to do a test to make sure the lights work. THEY WORK!!! Head lights out ready for a small surgery. I found this very simple... the second light. The first light took me about an hour. I have all the recommended tools and it was still tricky. The second light took about 20 min. Putting them back together was a snap. I didn't need to use a magnet for the small screws. All that is removed is this tiny led. Another test to make sure I didn't mess anything up putting the lights back together. The control module is attached to the back of the bumper support right in front of the radiator Finally had some time to grab a couple quick pictures of the project that was finished a month ago. I have been waiting for my photographer to take some good pictures. She is very busy so these will have to do for now. All the pictures have the scanner bar ON. Right now both the scanner bar and halos are on one switch. Red - Used most often Orange Green Blue Purple

Picked up some spray tint last night. Gonna tint my tail lights and eventually spray my side markers.

Tail light tint
Picked up some spray tint at Wal-Mart. Stock First I took the plastic cover off the top of the light housing. Its held in by 3 plastic clips that came out very easily with a flat head screw driver. Then I removed the chrome bezels. These pulled off extremely easily as well. No tooling required. I discovered it gets very dirty behind the bezels. good time to get it all cleaned up! Getting the lights out was a bit tricky. They are each held in by 3 10mm nuts. I wasnt able to get a wrench in to a couple of the places, but most of them were only hand tight. Once the nuts are off and you twist the bulb out, the light slides right out. Time to tint After tint. I did one thick coat. Friends that have done this say they get better results with one coat than with several light coats After they dry Ill have pics of them installed. Here they are installed with no trim. Getting them back in was pretty simple. A couple of the nuts were hard to get back on, but with a little patience its doable. Getting the bulbs to line up was also a bit tricky. I had to take the housing out a couple times to make sure the right size tabs were lining up. They can only go back in one way. Installed with trim and trunk down. I think they give the car a whole new look. I took it out yesterday and got very positive feedback. Next step is to spray the side markers.
