Illegal to have Red Lights and No Front Plate?

Is it illegal to have Red Halo Lights and No Front License Plate? Got caught twice for both offense. Some people tell me I only have halo lights and it is not the main headlight that is red and shouldn't be an offense. Some people also telling me only the rear license plate is required not the front. Someone tell me the correct rules!

Well here in the US (I see your in Guam so Im not sure the laws there) but you can not have blue or red lights on ur car while driving. They are for show only. As far as the front plate that varies by state.

White and Amber are the only authorized light colors on the front of a (operating) vehicle in most states. And front plates are required in Guam, at least they were a couple years ago. Read up on your motor vehicle statutes for your area. They'll save you allot of headaches, and points on your record.

+1

The reason behind the law is red/blue lights resemble police lights from a distance. Folks may think help is arriving.

Well since you got busted twice I'm going to guess that "YES"! It is illegal to have red lights and no front license plate were you live...

Hmmm...since Guam is an island and you stated that you have been caught twice now for both offenses I would safely say that anywhere in Guam would be illegal to both of the things that you did.

I haven't had a front plate on the car since July and have not been ticketed for it. It is illegal here but I figure the cops have better things to do than stop any car for not having a front plate. I figure it's probably not worth their time unless they just add it on to a speeding ticket, for instance. There's no way they can tell if my car is from out of state or not without first seeing the back plate, so what are the going to do, whip out into traffic when they see I'm not from out of state and should have a plate?

Depends on the state.

I'm in IL and a front plate is required. I don't have one. I have never been pulled over for it.

But I have been ticketed once... In the parking lot of a circuit court...

Different color headlights is a no-no. Emergency vehicles use that.

Front plate rules vary by state. I've been rolling without one since I got my car four months ago and haven't been caught yet, but its a risk I'm taking by choice.
