Yup, I did it in the first HALF HOUR of owning the car while driving to my insurance place to sign some paperwork! That scraping sound is just horrible.

My 2nd gen had gfx and I learned in that car after tearing off the front piece (that's why I didn't get them this time), but I managed to do it just this week to Silvermist :(.

Never had a problem with scraping while parking *knock on wood*... I wind up lookin' like a douche parking a foot away from the parking stop/curb in front -but I'm ok with that

Have not scraped "the chin" but I did curb my wheel slightly. Have since had it fixed so it's good but when it first happened I was absolutely sick.

Only scraped once so far. I drove a 4th gen RS with the GFX for years. Wanna talk about a long nose...That car was almost impossible not to scrape. Makes driving the 5th gen SS easy...

I let my brother drive my new Camaro - thinking foolishly that he knew what he was doing. We have an incline into the driveway so you need to take it a bit sideways and he came in fast - and perfectly straight. Made an awful sound and left a good scrape underneath. Yeah, you can't see it but everytime I'm washing the front end underneath and see it - I cringe.

Has anyone rreplaced that piece of black rubber under the fascia?
I have scraped that a few times and one day it will need replacement.

I've got a nasty scrape on the front passenger bumper that has some of the paint shredded off. Funny thing is that I remember hearing it, but wasn't parked over or beside anything concrete, so I can't really remember how it happened. I'm going to have the dealer look at it when I head up to buy more oil this weekend. Hopefully its a buff and release job.
