How does the exhaust tone sound, are you happy with them and are they louder than stock ? It's kinda hard to tell by the Flowmaster video ....
Yep louder than stock deeper tone than the LS3 exhaust very little rasp and beast of all under $400 shipped.

Would be great if someone could post some video of this exhaust, I've listened to the others that have pieced a system together but they probably won't sound the same as this one.

this is the one im leaning towards as well...if someone who has installed the system could post video it would be appricated...I know we have the flowmaster video, but it would be nice to have more and in a real world setting (from inside the car and open road rides)

Got them installed today ..... First off the cans are half the weight of the OEM cans.... Second they look totally bad azz from the back with the 4" tips.... The sound is awesome, the tone is deeper louder and you can literally feel it in your azz as you drive ...... I'll post some vids when I get a chance .....

So you have the actual FlowMaster kit? Awsome, all other videos I've seen are of custom flowmaster setups besides the one video from flowmaster of this kit, and honestly that video doesn't really show off enough for me to form an opinion of its sound.

As with pretty much all other videos, looking forward to your vids and hope to see em soon!

The ones I got are the American Thunder series ..... Part # 817483

Couple of quick Pics, while I compress the vids ....

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

This video doesn't really do them justice. The tone is much lower, and under load they are much louder with more of a rumble. You can really hear them good when the trans downshifts (auto) .... They get that nice rumble ..... They are quiet while sitting at an idle, but get very racey under WOT .... I'm very pleased with them, and they made the wife smile also ..... SOLD !!!

I'll get some better vids with my video cam next go around .....

I'll try for some better vids with a good mic this weekend ..... Went for a little cruise tonight, and you can feel the difference with these on... It pulls much harder off the line, and puts you back in the seat more. And between 5k-6k it pulls harder as well. Most of the speed limits around here are 45, so it only takes a matter of seconds to be going over. The 0-60 pulls seem to be much stronger, only have a butt meter to gage by but feels real good.

At a steady cruise speed, lets say 45-50 and you not using the throttle they are very quiet. Seems kinda weird because under throttle you can hear them good... Take your foot off the gas, and they go quiet ... At first thought the engine died ....

I second what Slingshot has to say about the Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust I picked mine up from Autoanything for $392 shipped. Well worth the $$ the nice thing is the mufflers are black and you cannot see them under the car they fit well under the car and the bumper cover hides them as well.

Sean

Here is a pic of mine installed.

This the only way they are available ...... They are tuned just for the LT.... They are an axle back system ....

You are correct ......
