They will sell more than 10 or 20. Seriously more than that. Might only be 1,000 or so but 10 to 20 is a bit of an exageration don't you think?

It would be that 3 seconds per lap in a NA car that can run at the track allllllll day long without heat soak issues.

So the fact that the 1LE and the ZL1 have already beaten both the Boss and the GT500 in track testing and the Z/28 will only be faster doesn't mean anything?

You haven't read much on the Z/28 have you?

- power seats
- A/C is an option, your heat comes from the engine so you'll always have that.
- radio, you have it. Just only one speaker.

Show me the test with the 1LE and the Boss compared at the same time. Its great that the camaro handles, but its a little bit of a hard sell on the street; and dollars for hp. the Ford also has an advantage.

Try an MSRP in the range of $79K to $89K...

PLUS due to low build volume, try and get one away from a dealer for less than $100K...

If you want to accelerate and drive in a straight line - buy a mustang.

If you want to accelerate through the twisties - buy a Camaro.

Pretty sure every magazine that's compared the Boss, ZL1, 1LE, etc. has come to the above conclusion.

If I can find a dealer who will sell one to me at MSRP, will you pay for it?

Oh Becky.....I'd like to place my Z/28 order if that's alright.

As someone who has had a ZO6 and a ZR1, don't dismiss a Camaro with an LS7 in it. I was faster at Spring Mountain in a ZO6 than a ZR1. Not having that supercharger weight up front makes a big difference. I am seriously considering a Z28.

I'd rather have a ZL1 for that kind of cash. They stripped the thing down, no AC, 1-speaker radio and it still weighs 3800 lbs. My car weighs 3880 and it's got all the bells and whistles.

IMO it's not worth $75k+. I don't care if those parts add up to $40,000. I'd wait until a 6th gen Z/28 comes out if it indeed does. If not? Why spend that amount of money when a true track fan can build something cheaper that will match if not beat a new Z/28? Because its got a factory warranty? If you're racing, warranties don't mean squat, though they're nice, not needed. I'll repeat myself. It's a great car and I'd love to have one but I refuse to spend that amount on one just to say I have one. I wouldn't race it much but I'd play with her.

Sorry, but Ford chickened out when asked.

Reality Check!!!...This is the first new model I've ever heard the manufacturer try to "discourage" buyers....(and justifiably so) "If you're not a hard-core racer, or don't intend to track it 'a lot' this is NOT your car"...."It's street legal, but not meant for the street..."

...If you can afford 2K for tires every 3-4K miles, then you shouldn't even care what the price will be...

I'm sticking with my 100K prediction...If you have to ask what this one costs, you can't afford it...
