It would be that 3 seconds per lap in a NA car that can run at the track allllllll day long without heat soak issues. Quote:

So the fact that the 1LE and the ZL1 have already beaten both the Boss and the GT500 in track testing and the Z/28 will only be faster doesn't mean anything?

- power seats - A/C is an option, your heat comes from the engine so you'll always have that. - radio, you have it. Just only one speaker. |

Try an MSRP in the range of $79K to $89K...
PLUS due to low build volume, try and get one away from a dealer for less than $100K...

If you want to accelerate through the twisties - buy a Camaro. Pretty sure every magazine that's compared the Boss, ZL1, 1LE, etc. has come to the above conclusion. |

As someone who has had a ZO6 and a ZR1, don't dismiss a Camaro with an LS7 in it. I was faster at Spring Mountain in a ZO6 than a ZR1. Not having that supercharger weight up front makes a big difference. I am seriously considering a Z28.

I'd rather have a ZL1 for that kind of cash. They stripped the thing down, no AC, 1-speaker radio and it still weighs 3800 lbs. My car weighs 3880 and it's got all the bells and whistles.

Reality Check!!!...This is the first new model I've ever heard the manufacturer try to "discourage" buyers....(and justifiably so) "If you're not a hard-core racer, or don't intend to track it 'a lot' this is NOT your car"...."It's street legal, but not meant for the street..."
...If you can afford 2K for tires every 3-4K miles, then you shouldn't even care what the price will be... I'm sticking with my 100K prediction...If you have to ask what this one costs, you can't afford it... |
