V6 Exhaust Sound - other factors
Really happy with 305 HP (427 is too much for a daily driver... plannin on getting SS in 2012 or so) but not happy with exhaust sound. Looking for a lil rumble even at idle. I know it'll be higher than the v8 sound and will never be the same but I know it can get better. You guys all know way more than me so I need some advice.
What else could be done to provide a deeper exhaust sound on the v6 without altering exhaust. Also which of these products will void warranty? headers? cam? intake? new air filter? anything else? TIA

I just had the GMPP axle back installed on my 2LT I'm pleased with the results. A little pricey, I paid $861 installed at my dealer. Sounds better than stock for sure. When first driving, I was concerned about cabin drone, you can hear these at lite acceleration in the cab but they settle out when cruising.
Sound very good at WOT. You won't mistake it for a LS3, nor a import with a coffee can. It has a nice low pitch. I would reccomend. |

headers and a cam will definitely make the car sound different. But as of yet I don't know of a set of cams for the LLT and they would most likely void the warranty. The easiest thing to do is get a new muffler/cats and or removing them.
