2014 Chevrolet SS base price..$27,535!!
My February 18th edition of Automotive News states the base price of the 2014 SS, which will include the cost of shipping in the price, will be $27,535. It was in the "Nascar builds brand appeal" article with Chevrolet's Jim Campbell on pg. 51. I hope this was not a typo or mis-quote on their part. This is GREAT news if its' correct.

That price is hard to believe with everything that has been said about the SS by GM management up to now.now $37,525 I could believe.

Hah. Take that price with about 15,000 grains of salt (one for every dollar that estimate is short). If this car were being built in North America, I'd still expect the base price to be just under $40k. MSRP for a Camaro 2SS/RS with auto (which is the closest thing to a two door version of the SS sedan features-wise) is $39,570.

For the price of a moderately equipped Malibu and less than a base Impala you can get a LOADED SS???????

If anything they typed a 2 instead of a 3.
It won't start under $30k.

Math doesn't make sense. My 2006 GTO was $33K base list back in 2005. My 2010 1SS was about the same base list.
