Hopefully now cars guys are in charge of the Camaro and most of the bean counters have moved on. Thinking long term will better preserve model identity. Right now the Camaro is redefining itself.

V6 Models, Two SS models a 1LE and a ZL1.... not happening anytime soon, wouldn't hold my breath. GM is clearly going other directions

I reserve the hope that once Ford has 'blown their load' with the release of their 2013 GT500, then GM will counter them with a surprise---a 740HP Z28 5th Gen.!!!

To my knowledge the RS has always been a cosmetic package.

I wouldn't call the V6 and the SS 4 models. They are just added packages. Even the 1LE is just an added package for the SS...an awesome one, but still an SS upgrade.

GM has touted the ZL1 as the "Most" Camaro.

AFAIK you are absolutely correct, RS has always been an appearence package and had absolutely nothing to do with powertrain/suspension.

Well you don't need the highest HP in the Chevy lineup to make a Z/28, especially in light of the ZL1's weight. You can move a 3,850lb Z/28 just as fast with less HP than you can a 4,100lb ZL1.

Anyone seen a price for the 650hp mustang?

I think GM should just make it E Z'er to up the horses on my 2SS
with a factor aurtherized upfit.

If they are going to make a Z28 only make 1000. Put an LS9 in them nuff said.
