being from canada... the dealers here get squat for allocations... and it seems like markham chevrolet gets like 1 allocation per month it seems... cuz ive seen a 2LT SIM there and thats the only one...
call your dealer and demand the order code, workbench order.
if you cant get that... start looking for a car on the lot.
right now addison chevrolet (my dealer) on eglinton and dixie has a 2SS SIM for sale, and a 1LT IBM on lot.
im sure alot of the other dealerships have these cars on thier lot.
if you cant find one to your liking open up your search area and look farther away.
if you still cant find it... order from a dealer who has an open allocation.

being so close to winter it might be smarter even to hold off until next year spring

hope this helps.

its called allocation....your dealer must not sell many vehicles(i forget which ones they have to sell alot of)....other wise you would have recieved allocation by now and already been accepted...dont blame gm...blame your dealer.

It doesn't matter if you live in the basement of the plant in Oshawa and cook breakfast for the assembly workers. If your dealer doesn't have allocation, it ain't happening. The logic of "The one ordered a month before mine got here x date so mine should get here y date" is completely flawed because of allocation. There are many threads here explaining this.

yea i don't understand gm's logic behind this allocation business.. why didn't they just go with a sequential system of who ever orders it first gets it first..? starting to think going with the wow factor is gonna bite my ass in the winter.. if it looks like the car won't be made by this year, i'm killing the order.. i have no choice.. i need a car lol.. thanks for your advice everyone! i'm gonna go to my dealer this weekend with everything i've learnt here and see what's up..

The cars take 18 hours to build on the line. 1 Camaro is produced in the plant every minute.

You problems seem to be with the dealers. If you go with a small dealership, they don't seem to get very many allocations (chances to submit orders)...so with those dealers you will have to wait your turn. Go with a busier dealer and they have more chances to submit orders, have them accepted and cars are delivered in 6-8 weeks currently.

I'm new to all of this, since I just ordered my car in September (Status 3400 today, so my car is being built now)........but the boards here are full of information (as well as a few very good dealers with open allocations)... I'm learning new things all the time here on the boards

Good luck

if one camaro rolls off the line every minute, assuming a 5 day work week, and 16-hour factory operation (2 shifts?), that's 4800 camaros in a week.. or 19200 month.. last i heard they've only produced around 7-9k camaros a month since production began.. so 1 camaro/minute doesn't sound right... am i making any sense?

You don't owe your dealer loyalty for non-communication

Becky at Rodgers Chevrolet can help you out - she already replied to this thread above. I know from experience, because I ordered a month before you did and was frustrated with my dealer when I called her. Less than 4 weeks have passed since then and my car will be built next week. She's the real deal and has been wonderful to work with. I hear from her on average once a week via email or phone with an update. I don't ask, she just sends. Just drop her a line - you won't be disappointed.

You have an over abundance of patience!

I sat at 1100 for 4 weeks then told my dealer to cancel my order, I found what I wanted rolling off the truck in another dealers lot.

There is light at the end of the tunel.....and they are halos.....
