Pull power from where??

I klnow i have another thread about this but i would love to get this done within the next few minutes and get everything all buttoned up. I am hardwireing my radar detector. All wires are run just need power, i went with the add-a-circuit for getting power. Which fuse port do i use? I dont want it to come on when i start the car only when i turn the detector on. Thanks in advance.

From my exploring the only switched fuses are for the power outlets, F17/18. The rest are always hot.

OP has a frameless mirror so I don't believe the connections are the same. When I got my '13 all I could find were posts saying it couldn't be done but according to the last post in the thread you linked you can tap into the airbag lights.

Have in on hot and add a switch. That way you can control it that way? But if it has an on/off button on the unit, it shouldn't matter if it's on hot or not. The power button would be what turns it on and off.

I have a 5 in mine but 2 would probably protect better. I have a 9500ix and I think it draws about a half amp.

I think it was 17 but may be 18. Whichever one the double size fuse tap fits in. I think it there's space in one but not the other. Can't look to see because the car is garaged under cover with a bunch of snow removal stuff surrounding it til April.
