I think the best company for any insurance is USAA. Hopefully you have a relative who was or is in the service. I have a 2013 2SS and it cost me $94 a month on top of two other cars I have with them. I think I pay about $2000 total for 3 cars.

I spoke with my state farm agent and they stated that corporate would not do disclared value until 7 to 10years. At that point they would send out an appraiser and determine value. Keep all receipts of any aftermarket parts for appraiser. They read a list of items that could not be on the car, slicks, wheelie bars, or anything that might make the car inappropriate for street use

Until that point they stated value is determined by plugging in your vin# and the current year and mileage and condition.

Dang I'm jealous.

Got State Farm (10Y or so), 2 boys under 25, and I pay just over $600/mo for a '12 Equinox, '13 Volt, '13 Cruze (all 3 are leases, $100K/$300K/$100K coverage) a 2003 suzuki (PIP and PD only) and an '09 BMW K1300GT motorcycle (full coverage).

I said the insurance was $l,l00; it's actually $1,200.
I have the 7500 mile restriction, another car and the house on a State Farm policy.

I'm 73 and can't remember the DECADE I got my last speeding ticket. I think it
was in the 80's.

I'm going to force the 1st 1500 hundred miles in order to get it broken in.
After that, I doubt it gets 2-3 thousand a year.
My other car is a 97 Surburban that has 84,000 miles on it. Go figure.

Again thanks for the replies.

You are the man. I hope I have the balls to drive a beast like this when I am your age. That is so awesome!! Good luck.

BTW, I have Geico and they are pretty reasonable. Full coverage in the DC area and they charge me about $850/yr. When replacing my 2012 Mustang GT Premium Coupe with this car, my insurance only went up like $150/yr. I also quoted a Shelby I was looking at. My insurance would have gone up $1200/yr!!! That is almost double what I was paying for two cars, one a GT.

The only problem with GEICO is you have to have a great driving record or they drop you. USAA on the other hand stands by their customers much longer. They are known for their service, but are a bit more expensive. My friend's wife totaled 3 cars in a 3 year period and then opened her door into traffic, causing the door on her new Volvo to almost completely rip off. USAA never dropped them and the increase in their insurance premium was not too bad. I guess that is why USAA customers are very loyal.

Sounds like they may be dinging you for your age. That isn't cool, especially if you have a clean record.

BTW, here is a link comparing Auto Insurance companies.

If you want low rates call USAA. But if someone else without insurance totals your car they will do all the research possible to pay you least amount possible on your claim. I can guarantee you that on average they pay their policy holders much less than all the competition. They are fine if you never make a claim but if you total a car your car is worth exactly the same as the lowest price compairable car in your part of the country. Not average, the lowest...think about that. That is how they keep rates low. I paid them money for over 15 years but would never ever recommend them to anyone in good conscience.
