Quick Question about Magnaflow Resonated X Pipe

I currently have LT headers going to offroad pipes and a muffler delete. How much quieter would the Magnaflow X pipes make this setup? I will also be getting a cam so I can only imagine that would bring the sound back up which is fine. Getting this part to get rid of some of the rasp

my setup is different, but i can say it really helped with the raspiness

mine is now just a bit louder than stock, a bit throatier perhaps, at least until you put your foot in it. loud, but very little, if any rasp

Yes it (res-x) will be quieter and sound much smoother/mellow vs stock H pipe .
At least it did on my exhaust.

I have SP LTs with cats, a Magnaflow resonated x pipe, and Borla Type S axle backs. The car is VERY tame even at WOT. I love it. Deep tone and very little drone. No rasp at all.

Im actually hoping it isnt that quiet since I don't have cats anymore after the header install and also no axleback ,uffler. Ill be getting a cam here in a couple weeks. I just hate the rasp more than i love the volume of the exhaust so had to tackle that problem

The resonator will help but its definitely not a cure. The catalytic converter removal caused your rasp.

The resonated X will reduce a lot of rasp and drone, but will also reduce volume by about 20% or so. Being catless and no mufflers, I'd say it will still be loud enough, but perception is in the eye of the beerholder.

Best regards,

So you're saying the resonated x pipe is restrictive?

No, not at all; just tones down the sound more than you would think.

Agree with JDP. Resonated X dropped my sound way more than I thought it would. I have LT headers, HF cats and muffler delete. Also took out h-pipe and stock resonator to install Resonated X, was way more quiet than I expected. Dropped it and went with Tru-x. The resonated sounded awesome, killed drone and rasp very well if that's what you are looking for.
