I can tell you the silver looks absolutely amazing in person. im not a fan of silver, and wasnt really excited about the silver pictures we have been seeing, but it is gorgeous in person... I also saw cyber grey on the vette, and wow..... I wish i would have brought my pink paint chip to see how they looked together.

yes, the silver looks great in person. we've seen a black SS.
Tough choice....i think cyber grey would look amazing on the camaro, and thats what i would be getting if i wasnt doing a custom pant job.

I was thinking...
White with Blue hood/trunk stripes (custom of course) or Cyber Gray with Black (maybe Flat Black) hood/trunk stripes |

Silver is going to be easier to keep clean that is for sure. If you only drive it on the weekends and have a company car then I would go with black. I will be driving everyday so black isn't going to be the color I pick.

I went with Cyber Gray with black stripes for the above reasons. My Evo is silver and it gets boring fast. Black is truly amazing... at night. But I was sold when I went down to order, and saw the Cyber Gray Z06. I have since the color twice, once at sunset, and the other after dark. I have no doubts now that is the color I want.
BTW pictures do not do that color justice. |

For those who have seen the Silver Ice color in person, is it different than the Sebring Silver on the 4th gens or did they just call silver a different name for the 5th gen?
I always thought the Sebring Silver was just dull looking. That along with Pewter never looked good to me. Reminded me of a battleship color. Had no pop to it at all. Is the "Silver Ice" any better or just the same? |

Hello!
|
I was going with cyber grey and even saw a Vette in the exact color...perfect color and and nice little hint of blue in there...but...
...I then saw a Traverse in silver ice and it changed my mind! I think silver with black stripes and that black leather interior, along with the "silver color" door panels will look great together! Black is nice too...but a b!tch to keep clean and will show every scratch and ding!! Go down to your local Chevy dealer (a good one if you can with lots of volume) and look at the colors...Malibu has several colors (summit white, red jewel tintcoat), the Vette has a couple (victory red, cyber grey) and then the Traverse I saw was silver ice metallic. Tough choice I know as I had to make it too...but don't think about the exterior only, think of stripe options and interior options too...don't forget aftermarket rims if you plan that route too. Make it all blend so not one thing stands out...rather the car itself as a whole is what stands out! |

Pewter I have to agree though. I just looked like a dingy color. Like dirty dishwater. |

Black or Silver, still wrestling over it months later...
So I pre-ordered back on October 13 and got the silver because it is easier to take care of. But ever since, I keep seeing the black pictures and seeing black cars driving around town and think how amazing they look. I am worried about getting swirls and scratches on the black though. I don't care about having to wash it all the time, I would do that anyway. I am stuck and can't seem to decide what to do. Part of me wants to go over to the dealership tomorrow and change my order to black. Any thoughts?

Silver .. I'm biased though ....
For me it came down to upkeep ... it is so hard to keep a black car looking clean. Silver hides it (and small rock chips) pretty well .... I do love a nicely waxed black car though !! Crowley
