Thanks for the advice but not even close. Way smarter than that. Even with gap insurance that isn't a smart move. Total the car and you have nothing. . No car, no equity. Thanks for the financial advice but I'm just looking for mod advice.

Wait till 1-2k miles then get long tubes and CAI to start you off.

Did you get the dual mode exhaust? Personally, I would keep the '1LE' diffuser but get the ZL1 trunk spoiler with the side rockers. I would basically go for this look: Other than that, I would get a good catch can and call it a day. The 1LE is already kickass as-is. Maybe a dryflow air filter replacement as well. At least drive the car first! |

I would get a nice helmet, $300, some nice racing shoes, $100, some neck protection, $600, a CG lock or harness bar with harnesses, $600, get a set of track pads as back up, $500, racing brake fluid Castrol SRF, $80, buy a clutch reservoir with bracket from JDP motorsports, $80, get a tran skip shift eliminator, $30, black out the turn signals and reverse light from phastekperformance.com, $60, buy a oil catch can, $200
....and you are at around $2000 (if you get harness bar, get hans device, if no harness bar, get the body strap one, hybrid). Now you are fully ready to go and enjoy that bad car of yours.

Only problem with that, no tracks in Hawaii... And I have several helmets already. But I like your train of thought. As a motorcycle enthusiast who enjoys track days more than street time, I would love to hit the track.

I'd change all the bulbs to LEDs, install the drl harness, depending upon where you live, get another set of wheels and tires for bad weather? Upgrade exhaust, and maybe get it tuned.

That was my first thought...warranty. You may want to consider the LS3 head and LS7 cam kit. 40 hp boost, and you can do the long tubes later. I have the part # from the perfomance catalog. 19300535

So if you add these specific mods they won't void the powertrain warranty?

Maybe if dealer installed, otherwise it would definitely void the warranty
