Here is what I have heard/read but dont know for a fact:

LS9 supercharged intercooled 6.2L ~650 HP LS7 replacement, most likely Corvette Z0(6/7??) only.

LS8 supercharged non-intercooled 6.2L (detuned LS9) ~ 550HP, can find its way into other models.

I was reading an article about the new "Super Corvette" (that is yet to be named) and there was a lot of talk about a supercharged LS3...

Most all of the "Super Cars" have some kind of Forced induction, whether it be Superchargers, or Turbos. I can easily see it happening.

In fact, I look forward to seeing it happen

Okay...for those of you who have read that other thread about the GM video blogs, it was not a GM rep, but it has been stated that the LSX is a whole engine, not just a block. Again not solid info, but damn near as good as any. I apologise to all those who I "shot-down" regarding that. I'm no engineer, so... woops

This thing is said to push out 640hp:eek: N/A!!...and unless I heard the video wrong, that's Carbeurated. If the inject this thing...could we expect more? Because my opinions change so rapidly , I think THIS will be in that "super-vette"...and perhaps the Supercharged LS3 (LS9) will take over for the LS7?

They've also said that there will be a 9 liter monster in there...However, in a side-remark by GM official, I'll get the link later, they said that the displacement of the engine in it will be "significantly larger than the LS7"...

I promise I'll get a link soon.

EDIT: http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/13/2...age-of-tuning/

okay, so my quoting is a little off.

I think it will still be a few years before we see that one. they said that the C6 series shouldent end till 2010/2011. and that stingray/blue devil vette would be for the last year of the C6 corvette.

not really pertaning to the conversation, but my dad's friend gets a new vette like every time a new model comes out, for example, he had a silver c6 a few years ago, then traded it for a 07 zo6, and he has already ordered or whatever the blue devil, and he's gonna trade his zo6 in for it, and he's owned the z06 for just over a year, I call that a covette enthusiast, he's worked it out with his wife so he can get a new vettte every year, rich !@$#@!%

Being rich isn't a requirement for being an enthusiast, nor does it make them an enthusiast. I'd consider someone who's owned 1 inexpensive car for many years and took good care of it an enthusiast, regardless of money.
