SOP is February 2009 with deliveries in March 2009. Typically a model year is September through September give or take a month or two either way. For the Camaro will there be roughly 18 months worth of 2010 production with 2011 Camaro's coming out about 9/2010?

I want to wait until I can drive a convertible and coupe back to back so I'd be buying in spring/summer of 2010. I don't want to buy the tail end of the previous model year especially if its over a years worth of production (if I decided coupe). I could just wait until September of course but I don't want to have to buy snow tires and rims 2 months after I buy the car. I'd like a nice 6-8 months of good weather first.

The Sky came out in march 2006 as a 2007 model, the model year lasted until the 2008 models started arriving in August of 2007. I would assume that the Camaro will be similar.
The Sky Redline came out about 8 months after the regular Sky came out and it was still a 2007 model.
I hope this gives you some idea of how it works.

I've wondered about this myself and I guess that makes sense. Sense enough anyways we'll see in due time.
