Hurst

I opted to keep the stock boot, a little noise, but not much. I love it.

The V6 shift pattern is different, do hurst have the correct pattern on the white ball for V6?

The Hurst Billet/Plus is awesome… The shifts are shorter and there is definitely a more positive feel. As you can see by the video, it does not take much effort to shift through all the gears. There is some gear noise mostly during spirited driving; Cough Cough WOT Cough. At 18 and 40 seconds in the video you can hear some of the gear noise I’m talking about (kind of sounds like a light rattle and it's louder at WOT). The noise is easily snuffed out with the proper placement of Dynamat. As for the clicking noise when you shift, I don’t even notice it…….same with the gear noise. There are many Hurst and universal shifter knobs that fit so your customization is unlimited. I bought the Hurst for many reasons but I would have to say the performance with its “Old School” looks is two of the biggest and they are second to none. The Hurst shifter is worth every Camaro owner’s hard earned cash!

As a side note: There are many aftermarket companies making the same parts for are beloved Camaros. I strongly suggest you find the parts you like that fit your style and performance wants/needs. It’s as easy as asking a “Camaro Comrade” who has the part installed, if you can check it out on their ride.

I am impressed. I would like to see a video of some other shifters...I do like the drastic improvement in throw.

Also I am personally waiting to see if B&M comes up with something. I will be pestering them all at SEMA

Love the Hurst. Anyone heard if GM is ever going to offer them, either factory direct or dealer installed? Don't know why that died. I'll get aftermarket though. Very nice!

Q1 of 2010 Hurst factory or dealer installed. You can pick up the Hurst on Ebay for $339 inc shipping.

The knob is the typical “ball shifter” size. I really don’t think you could find a smaller size.
