Wow, Camaro won again (and held on to nearly the same numbers as last month)

The Mustang really tanked again...
Challenger down a lot too...

Didn't see this coming.. That's a big tank for the Mustang.

I would attribute dropping mustang sales to

a) anyone who wants one, has gotten one

b) anyone on the fence of getting a s550, or thinking of trading in their early s550 for a new one, is waiting for what the 2018 refresh will bring

I still think the extremely high sales for S550 were due to so many owners of S197 Mustangs who it was time for an upgrade.. You have to remember that S197 goes back to 05.

I think it will be difficult for either of the cars this gen to sell 11-13k like Mustang did multiple times.

Apparently, they were so upset in Dearborn that they set the headquarters on fire. J/K

Doubtful. Remember 90% of the buying public (Mustang included) has no idea anything is changing next year. Most people don't read forums and such.

Plus, all that is expected is a mild refresh. Lights, and lower front bumper. Nothing big at all cosmetically...

These cars are "niche" segment cars, they will never have high sales numbers.

Did Others had 20%+ bonus rebate this month like Chevy? I think this did spark Camaro sales in October.

It's official. The Camaro is obviously the better car the last two months as it did outsell the Mustang.

Not sure exactly what they were, but a friend of mine got a '16 GT for like $9k off sticker two weeks ago.

I think this was the reason for the better sales. The rebates brought the price of the car inline with what the market will bear.
