BTR Stage 2 cam

Anyone running this cam? Doing some mods and I've been looking at this one. Driveability? Power? Like? Dislike?

Check over in ctsvowners forum, couple of them over there. Positive comments.

I have one in hand that will go in my G8 a few hours before I drop the ZL1 blower on it. Be a month or two before I can comment results first hand.

Thanks. I've noticed this cam seems to be pretty popular in the V, but curious why nobody has one in a ZL1

IMO, Likely several reasons... no vendor pushing it, no one bragging about it (always need a trailblazer for the sheeple) and the 122+6 is a bit different - tuners may not be as comfy as it's not in their database to cut/paste from.

I spoke at length with Brian regarding my objectives, he was beyond helpful and I'm willing to deviate from the "norm".

The shop I'm going with seems to be comfortable with it and if their power estimates are even close, I'll be very happy. I should have some results mid Feb if this Virginia weather will cooperate....

I heard sound clips of that cam and it's pretty choppy. I would be more interested in the BTR stage 1 cam.

I am running BTR stage 2 on my auto zl1 and i like it a lot. Also, a friend of mine is running stage 3 on a auto ZL1 and even though stage 3 is not recommended for auto, he has no issues and car runs great.

Cool. Any idea on the power added from the stage 2 and stage 3 cams?

BTR stage 3 cam with matching springs and titanium retainers in my set up.

Youtube search has some good idle clips of the CTSV guys using this cam.

If a tuner is cut and pasting from other tunes you need to find a new tuner! And actually the 122 lobe separation will make it easy to tune, not harder.
I am going with a Brian Tooley grind but we doing something specific to my existing mods and intended use. No "one size fits all" cam for me!

And the 122 deg lobe sep is so different from the stock camshaft 122.5 lobe sep. Tuners wouldn't know what to do with it.
