Is the Blower from ZR-1 possible on our ZL-1s

Why wouldn't GM for 2020 or 2021, put the blower from the C7 ZR-1 on the Camaro ZL-1? All the big boys have over 700hp now and we're stuck with the same old car and engine, with no incentive to upgrade to a new car when they GM didn't do anything to entice us, Like More HP!! What am I missing. I know we can still run with the 700+ hp cars from Dodge and Ford but wouldn't it be nice to have 750hp?
Don't get me wrong I love my car..
Also I'm wondering if anyone has done it..

Yeah you can toss a 2650 on the LT4 no problem. You will likely need to do some intake/exhaust/fuel mods to go with it but you'll easily be at 750-800 HP at very low boost. The 2650 on the LT4 is capable of 1000-1100 RWHP when paired with heads/cam/fuel/etc.

Don’t get me started on GM! Where are the CCBSs while we are at it. It’s a lost cause. GM doesn’t get it most of the time.

1. Yes it's possible and been done. (http://hennesseyperformance.com/vehi...ction-zl1-1le/)

2. It's not practical, due to the increased intercooler brick size. Notice that they had to customize the hood just to fit it in the car.

3. There are easier ways to get more power unless you are dead set on having an LT5 for the "cool" factor.

4. In stock form, there's not a big incentive for Chevy to build a faster Camaro. It already outperforms the competition in most metrics (
) and because of that, Ford is throwing money comparing the C8 to the GT500 so that they can actually win a comparison article. Rather than spending money redesigning the packaging of the Camaro, I would venture to say that GM RD money is going into a C8 Z06 or ZR1.

Edited to update links

LT5 Blower Kit

You sure can. All it takes is money.

Ceramic brakes? I honestly wouldn't want those at all. Maybe as an option for the ZLE, but meh.

The ZL1 hangs with the GT500 and came out years earlier, how are they not getting it exactly?

It's totally possible. GM redid the front end, suspension, aero, cooling, on the Corvette to make the LT5 work, they could do the same for the ZL1.

With Mustang and Challenger top trims costing $80k+, there's definitely a market for a higher trim Camaro, but GM won't do it.

Hang? That’s all? I want more than hang. I want it faster from the factory and with potential left for mods later.

I thought the bypass actuator was different on the ZR1? Controlled by the ecu or something like that

All besides the 2650 is bone stock down to the air filter.

Or an E'force or Magnuson 2650...

And the bypass is an L5P throttle body so you'll have to run a piggy back harness to get it and the PFI-injectors to run properly.

GM could easily upgrade the SC to a 2.3 without changing anything with fitment under the hood. Add a better fuel system. Probably do everything for 10k and add 5k for profit. Make about 720hp and still keep the ZR1 as the top dog. Sell for about $80k. But they won’t do it.

Or throw the LT5/A10/e-diff into a mid size SUV. Why hasn’t that happened yet. I know why. They won’t do it. SMH.
