Showing 6 miles on the odometer when I drove off the lot for the test drive.

12 miles on the odometer when I pulled out of the lot on the test drive TODAY. 55 miles by the time I made it home. :-)

This is an excellent post! does any one know what actually constitutes a "NEW" car??
mine ,when purchased "NEW" , had 200 miles on it-some bs about driving it down from another dealer-just for me lol.....

I believe that to be a "new" car it cant have been titled. Mileage has nothing to do with it, or age for that matter.

Don't think so on the 0, the factory puts on 3 to 4 before it reaches the dealership.

Yeah, I wasn't very happy with the amount of miles I had for it being brand new...something like 89 miles.

I was overseas when I was going to put an order in for IBM with my dealership, but when I heard about Japan, the dealership said that they aren't taking orders anymore for that color so they had to do a trade with another dealership for a vehicle that was already made to how I wanted it.

89miles. they transferred it from another dealer. Initially i did not want the car because it had been driven and i let them know that. they came down on the price substantially to an offer i couldnt refuse. 4 months and 3100 miles later

eh not all the time, my friend worked at a saturn dealership prepping cars. he took cars off the truck with 0 or 1 miles on them. he put 3-5 on them for the PDI i used to have pics of them reading 0 pretty cool to see 0 on the od.

583 miles . It was the one I wanted and I think the manager was driving it but sold as new . I am pretty picky but a couple of miles don't bother me . I also got some money off on the deal . I never ordered a car in my life and I have had more than a few . I look at whats on the lot and buy it . If they don't have it they locate one .

what amt of milage constitutes a "demo" vech.?
theoretically if a car was never titled,it is new.. a never titled car could have unlimited milage... in my eyes that is not a new car, but i guess in the eyes of the state dept of mot vechs.. it is still new

then your saying a salesman can put dealer plates on a vehicle, drive it say 3000 miles. Now remember this vehicle has not been registered. the can sell this vehicle and call I't a new one. pardon me that is plain Bull
