Honda Accord Coupe vs. Nissan Altima Coupe

So my son has decided that if he doesn't like the Cobalt after he test drives it, he may want something a little nicer like the new Honda Accord Coupe or Nissan Altima Coupe. Which do you think is superior in terms of looks, reliability, MPG, etc? He's a college student so he will only get the 4-cylinder becuase he commutes to school and work every day, and spends a lot of time driving. Any advice is appreciated.

Eh, Altima is up there in reliablilty for an import. Better than what Toyota and Honda have been pushing lately (IE trying to mimic GM in mass production in falling on their face)

Nissan has it's issues but IMO just let him have the standard trans 4cyl Altima. Some people will probably think it's a 350 or G37 coupe at first.

IMO the Accord is also just too..played out. If he really wants to stand out, let him get the Nissan. It's obvious he probably won't wait for the Fiesta or Focus refresh so.. it's a pity.

the name "Altima" just never set in with me. It just sounds like a nun's car. Sorry, this is just my opinion.

Not being mean, i say neither cause I'm all GM, but the other day i saw a honda civic (not accord) commercial where it gets 29 MPG, while someone on here reported going on a road trip getting almost 29 MPG in a V6 Camaro,if he really wants one of the two get a Altima, they are dependable for an import.

Obviously seems into the import crowd more than the domestic. Odd thing is the Altima coupe stickers for about 1K less than an LS Camaro

Altima 2.5S: 22,470 w/o TTL
LS: 23,530 w/o TTL
Accord Coupe: 23,625 w/o TTL <- added for s*its and giggles

All three have no extra cost colors, manual transmissions, and ZERO options.
