did not take any, but as far as worthless, you do know what the door looks like and rear quater so picture them damaged, now picture the door needing to be replaced and the rear quater where the vents are being repaired, The ? was will it lower the value. to me it did not look damaged at all, then again I do not work in a autobody shop. a little dent in the rear quater and some clear coat scaps thats it nothing big. if you looked at the car from the side it did not look damaged

That sucks man but at least your ok. I had a friend in high school that had a little Geo Metro hatchback. and he was charged by a bull Moose. He was going along the highway and saw it in the ditch, so he slowed down to go by it and it turned and hit him in the passenger door. Damn near flipped the car over. Few cuts and bruises on his part but the car was almost unrecognizable. I'm pretty sure anyone in the passenger seat would have been dead.
anyway, hope they fix it up nice for you. I know it sucks but it's just metal and plastic, as long as you get it back in the end you've still got a camaro!

If you get a negative listing on CarFax (depends on the bodyshop, insurance co, and state), then you should go after depreciated value.
That is, the car now has a negative against it in CarFax and you are damaged by that (or will be when you go to sell/trade). You are entitled to be made whole by your insurance co. It requires having the car appraised after the repairs are completed and then going after your insurance company for the difference. If you do not get a negative entry with CarFax, you can theoretically still collect, but it becomes much harder to prove. Otherwise the damage is superficial based on your description. FWIW, SSN8R While I have stayed in a Holiday Inn Express..., I am not a lawyer, nor do I play one on T.V. |

body shop said that it is only a cosmetic issue no frame damage or powertrain damage so there will not be a negative against it
