Then last weekend I made an even bigger mistake. I used VRT on my engine bay hoses and now sand is stuck to everything. It's a complete mess.

Any ideas on how to clean it off or other products to use? Thanks
sure thing I would also go with the all purpose cleaner, now for the engine bays I only use Adam's In and Out Spray.

For the trim did you wipe off the excess of the Adam's Super VRT?

I have a friend that swears by using a soft brisseld brush to wash your car he belives that it is less abrasive and creates less friction on your paint as aposed to using a micro fiber mit. Whats your thought on using a brush?

it would depend on what type of brush you can use a good boar's hair brush but that being said if anything is lodged in there you will scratch the paint just like a mitt.

I really need a good car wash liquid. I can't seem to get bugs off the front of my car from road trips. Some bird shit leaves a film that won't come off with my regular stuff. I really want to clean her up, clay bar her, then build her back up. I don't mind supporting the guys that always answer our noobish questions.

Can you suggest a great car wash soap?

I'll hit you up with a message too. Thanks.

Try Optimum Car Wash Soap or Surf City Garage Balanced Car Wash Soap.

Wrapped car care?

Going to wrap my car. Have not decided. Matte or other. Does any one have any real world experience in taking care of a wrapped car. I use Adams products now. Thanks for all the info.

yes there are matte finish products for cars.

I believe Swissvax has their Opaque line, Dr. Beasley, and Nanolex has products for matte finishes.

Hey Phil, hope business is booming for you and thanks for answering questions on here.So my Q for today is,can I apply Sonax Poly Netshield over Menzerna color lock,I tried the PNS on my hood and the water just beads up and rolls right off even after a few months excellent stuff. My truck doesn't have many defects so I just use a white LC pad with the least agressive polish and go from there, but wasn't sure if using the PNS over CL would be a problem. Thanks

I would do a polish then use the Sonax PNS.

Maybe something like Menzerna SF4000.

Phil

Phil,
Regarding your Ferrari 458 thread:
Using those 2 polishes, how long or how many passes would you expect to need to correct a euro hood in a similar condition ?
Perhaps I am not being patient enough.
Thanks.

I don't really count passes but maybe a few passes.

I just make sure I break down the compounds and polishes and repeat if necessary.
