Correct!
I received one kit this morning that had the CARB Sticker
You can now get yours here - http://thatcamaropartsguy.com/6-2l-g...eneral-motors/

Keep in mind since these did just release they will take a bit to reach GM warehouses so please allow 5-6 business days for them to come in from 9/22

We received an email today saying that the previous part number "84315275" will be discontinued and replaced by "84329125". Therefore the GM GMPP Intake will now only be a 50-State legal Intake and will not have multiple part numbers according to CARB RPO Codes.

Does this mean we can have the old part # tuned in a non carb state?

Cannot confirm that quite yet. I can see GM going "Well you weren't supposed to have it in a CARB state to begin with" but who knows they may just allow people to have the re-tune.

I found that out as well 3 weeks ago when I contacted a dealership ou of South Carolina about the GM performance intake. Parts guy there said that he could sell me the intake for 480.00 delivered...I asked for the part number and he said not to bother searching for a btter price....nobody can beat it. I declined the offer, plugged that new part number into GM parts direct search and it came up 425.25 + shipping which was like 25.00 dollars.

Waiting to see if this part actually makes some power - then will order TWO from you!

Exactly. There's a thread where the guy actually lost power after putting this thing on.

Someone needs to do a "before" stock dyno run, then a run with the CAI installed but WITHOUT the ECM re-programming, and then another run WITH the re-programming. I have a feeling the ECM re-programming "to preserve the emissions warranty" is where the power loss came in. Installing this thing and leaving the ECM alone may be the move, but need some actual data to prove that.

I installed the GM CAI a few months ago and drove it without the GM tune during that time. I knew when I purchased it that it was for looks and sound... didn't expect any performance gain. Without the tune it "felt" better, but I think it was just the sound, but I did start to notice some lag in the throttle (more than normal)..

I had Don Hewlett Chevrolet of Georgetown put on the GM tune. They said it was their first one.. it took a little explaining but they understood once I showed them the directions and labor code.. no charges.

After the first 50 miles I can say the throttle lag seems to be noticeably better, response in all conditions is improved over without the tune.. As for does it add power? I think not, but it has a cool sound and looks good.. that all i wanted.

Sorry no dyno results here...

Pretty much the same experience here. It looks amazing, sounds really good, but not sure about performance. I don't feel any throttle lag after the tune personally.

IMHO If all you are looking for is HP and you aren't planning on big upgrades, don't bother. GM didn't list a HP increase amount for a reason.

i'm afraid that you're right...but still hoping for someone to find that this adds 7rwhp or so, and since it's smog legal and dealer approved, I would be on it!

I guess 5-7 hps should be ok if you have the software update.
