Quick question for people who bought a SS non-RS...

If you bought an SS (non - RS), why didn't you add on the RS package? I was just wondering. Thanks.

The tail lights didn't look all thatr different, I got mine black so, the painted molding wasn't a deal, and I didnot care about the halo rings on the front. Rather spend my money else where. I hate badging so that was a plus as well. I even tried to delete things like the 20" wheels to the stock steel ones on the v6.

3 main reasons
1. waste of $1200
2. didn't like the fact that I couldn't turn on my fog lights at night (although I see there is a fix for that now)
3. How many 1SS - nonRS cars are out there? not many. I like being unique

When I went in and ordered Mine they were not very clear with the options pkgs & cost of packages. The order was not even being accepted by the Dealers computer. So I got a yellow 2SS L99 every thing else I can Mod.

Same here. More concerned with getting the V8 and leather than halos. They weren't that special to me.

I bought mine off a lot, 2SS without the RS package. I like the looks of the halos, if there was an easy way to put stock halos in my SS I'd probably look into it. The other items don't matter that much to me anyway.

If I'd ordered the car directly, I probably would have gone with the RS but hadn't really been considering a Camaro until I stopped to look at one on the lot and I'm not the most patient person. lol

The only thing I liked about the RS package was the halos and decided not to spend $1200 on them. Did not like the Midnight Silver wheels or the red RS/SS emblems. The 2SS already came with the spoiler and the ditch color molding did not matter since I was getting a dark car anyway. Just not worth it.

I really like the looks of the headlights better than halo's and I wanted polished wheels which were gonna cost 480.00 dollars either way and the fact that the RS wheels are the same as stock SS wheels that are painted and the tailights arent that much darker and I am going to put covers on them anyway , I just couldnt justify the money for the package that had things I just didnt want or need

I don't care for HIDs in any format. Especially when another driver blinds me with them. I can live without colored roof ditch moldings. The black ones give the car a nice contrast anyways. I don't see the point in the darker tail lights. The RS wheels look like crap. Although they do hide brake dust well. And, the biggest reason I did not get an RS. Everyone and their dog will have it. Helps to make mine more rare. Since ABM was discontinued there is only one other exactly like mine.

2010 Camaro 2SS, Non RS

When I pre-ordered my 2010 Camaro back in October of 2008 the dealer did not really bring up the subject of RS, and I too like many others did not feel it was worth the extra money just for Halo Headlights. Now if they had offered the hide-away headlights like my 1967 RS then I would have given it more consideration
