!02mm TB on TVS 2300

I have a tvs 2300 on a 402, in a 2003 Z06 vette. It has a fairly large cam ,
243 247 623 623 , 114LS.
I have cathedral heads, afr 245`s.
I just finished install on a 3" exhaust.
I am running an 8 rib with 8" overdrive harmonic, 3.3" snout pulley, and overdrive cog drive.
It is achieving 13lbs boost , and dyno`ed around 650/650.
I am running a 90mm tpis TB now, and want to pulley down to a 2.9",
How much more will I get out of it with a 102mm TB ? Because the 102 as you know wil set me back $1000. all said and done. I had to come to the Camaro side, as hardly any vettes max these set-ups out TIA....Larry

I think I saw about 28 rwhp from my 102. Typical gains are in the 20-30 rwhp with ported inlet.

At about 750 whp a stock LSA throttle body becomes a major restriction. Your 90 is a little bigger. No matter how you mix it, with similar AFR's you need a certain amout of air to make a certain amount of horsepower. The throttle body is one of those items that until it actually becomes a restriction bigger is not necessarily better, for example if 3 cars are racing down a highway that has 3 lanes they will be just as fast as a highway that has 5 lanes. Only when the road is a restriction, less lanes than cars, will it have a major effect on traffic. You may see a few horses by swapping the throttle body at 650 whp but in my opinion you need another 50 whp before it will make much difference. I don't think it is worth the price at this point.

Are you in Ontario, California or the cold one up north? If you are in California, call Ryne or Mike @ Cunningham Motorsports (951) 677-0716 or if you're in Canada, shoot them an e-mail (best way to get in touch with them either way) at sales@cunningham-motorsports.com. They will get you all the info you need and not steer you in the wrong direction.

You can check out their website to see some of what they do. http://www.cunningham-motorsports.com/

Good luck

At less than $600 and a gain of 35hp-40hp it will be the cheapest HP he can get

Mine cost $1000 and I don't think it will give him more than 20 whp because I don't think the 90 is a restriction at all at 650 whp. Plus the car does not idle as nice with the 102. Just my opinion, but my build is pretty similar to his...

I have done a ton of Maggie builds and never seen less than 25rwhp and that's 550rwhp cars .The 90 is always a restriction in my testing. We have perfect idle as well that may be in your tune and a 102 can be had for less than $600

I'm making 16.5psi on a 2.95" pulley, without a 102mm throttle body. I also have ported heads, 2" headers, big cam, etc. You will be limited by belt slip before the throttle body.

So you don't think your car would pick up with a 102?
