Local Dealers are confusing me!
So today i went out to see if i could get any information that maybe not yet be posted here (fat chance right?), and to also make an order on my new Camaro.
The first dealership i went to doesn't take any orders and then told me GM is not delivering Camaros till October!? I just thought he was full of it and didn't know what he was talking about and decided to go to another dealership. (this dealership is the biggest Corvette dealer in California) The 2nd dealership I visited said that GM had pushed orders back by a month and they will be getting a Camaro in stock before May 6th (then talked about how GM is making ALL dealerships have at least one Camaro in stock for the 6th, because of some big national launch day or something). He also said that he would be filling orders starting late April. Also that Cyber Grey (the color i would like to order) is going to be built at the end of the year. By this point I am just confused and wanted to come back here and get set straight. I may have missed some posts or updates here that would give truth to something that these guys are talking about. Help me out guys, I am really confused and could use some answers. Whats really going on with production and deliveries? Is there anyway i could get a Camaro before September? Should i order asap, and stay away from cyber gray? |

I would and I did "Order now and do not add options that are on constraint like the CGM" although CGM might be available by the time your order gets pulled or you can take your 2nd color choice for now and if CGM is available when the order gets pulled for production change it. I am sure that if Chevy has capacity to exceed the 14000 preproduction orders before they build regular (september) 2010 production they will add to the prepro' numbers (if they havent already decided to do so.

There are dealers with plenty of allocations unordered at this point. If you look at the ordering section there's a dealer in NY with several unsold allocations selling for $500 over invoice. I'd talk to them or another similiar dealer, and as mentioned before you don't need to worry about CGM since it will be in production soon. |

There's a sticky in this very forum with a dealer list, the NY dealer was talked about in a post by trm002, still in the first page of this forum.

#18 of 31 apparently sold today. #19 would most likely still get you a car before end of June (probably end of May/beg June in my opinion).

If the car is "dropped " into your state the emissions will be correct
