Sunday at Island dragway

Hey everybody, took my car to the track this Sunday for the second time this year. The first time out was tough because I couldn't get any traction and was still learning how to launch this car. I have a manual trans. My best that day was a 12.96 at 111.18 at Maple Grove. So I bought some MT DRs and had a much better day on Sunday. My best was a 12.373 at 114.34 launching at around 3700 rpms. My runs in order were 13.06, 12.74, 12.37 and 12.40. I put a post in the offical 1/4 mile fast list with the time slip from the best run. It was a great day with great results. I was hoping for a 12.5 as the track prep wasn't that great and was very pleased with the results. I am thinking with some more launch practice I can dip into the lower 12s on a good day.

My best friend took his '12 ZL1 on stock tires and ran a best of 12.18. I think his speed was 118.xx. So he was spinning off the line. His only mod is a roto-fab intake. It was also only his second day at the track with this car and was learining the launch, manual trans.

Here is a youtube video of the run, it is the very last race of the video. I ran a Sl65 V12 twin-turbo.
