Anyone second-guessing getting a Camaro?

I haven't got one yet. I have to wait until 2011. However after living and breathing Camaro, I find myself doubting my motives for getting one.

On the one hand, life is short and one should enjoy it.

On the other hand, life is too short to spend so much money on just myself. I could be doing something better with my life like helping others.

Conflicted.

Not in this or any other lifetime....

I've helped others, and now I'm helping myself have the time of my life automotively speaking...
read your own signature, the answer is there... you can't control what others do, only how you respond to it... ie... no guilt...

I commend you for thinking of others before yourself especially with a brand new camaro in your near future. Not many could do that. But.... You sound like someone who deserves to treat themselves so I say get the camaro and enjoy the hell out of it

Being a former Bimmer owner and lover, I have thought about a BMW 335i coupe... but the Camaro is still winning as of right now. I too am gonna wait to see if anything happens with the 2011 Camaros.

When you buy a Camaro you are helping others. You are keeping dealerships open that provide jobs and medical insurance for people. You are providing jobs and insuarnce for auto workers, miners, plastics manufacturing employees, mechanics, rubber workers, assemblers, executives that run the companies, engineers, auto recyclers and the list goes on. That should be enough of an incentive to go and place your order. There was a Harley commercial on TV around here that showed an old man with his grand children. The children were playing with a toy motorcycle. The old man says" Harley, the wind in your face and the feeling of freedom". The children say "Grandpa, you had a Harley"? The old man answers "I bought aluminum siding with the money". The kids walk away. Don't be the grand father. If you really want to help people, send me your money. You will be helping me to pay off my loan.

yes I have the same thoughts . . . especially renewed with recent events in Haiti ; so I compromised and said to myself "well, if I think I can afford $500/month for a toy, I can at least send $500 to help some people in Haiti" so I did . . . which sets my Camaro fund back about a month . . .

so anyway maybe it is possible to do both; get a V6 model and put the difference into helping others less fortunate
