Is it your driving habbits? Tailgating? Riding too close? Speeding by and weaving between cars? Moving over in front of other drivers too close? Stopping too fast? It very well could be - i could be wrong. But it seems more likely one person be in the wrong than all of society around you.

I was also wondering that the new camaro being relatively rare and all, is there another black 2010 camaro in your town? It could have been some douche bag in a black camaro running a muck out there and you just happened to catch the after math.

About a ten minute drive from me here in the nice, civilized, tolerant, all-inclusive, happy-go-lucky Northeast is a little city called Camden, NJ. In there the OP probably would have gotten shot about a quarter-mile inside the city limits and his car stolen, instead of just threatened. Or you could cross the bridges into Philly, or go east to the fun parts of Atlantic City away from the casinos, and experience that same kind of friendly greeting in those places, too.

Del Rio doesn't exactly sound like Disney World, but there are PLENTY of places like that all over the country - including Camden, including Philadelphia, and yes including your Detroit. So I really don't see what this incident has to do with some idea of "uncivilized" Texas.

It kinda sounds like there is the possibility that just due to a bad run of luck, things may seem a little outside of normal. One moron gang banger said something scary as he drove by, another moron at a stoplight yelled something rude, and it sounds like one drunk moron probably mistook you for someone else and then stumbled off.
