I like my JBA shorties and hi flows, with a muffler delete it sounds mean, and I didn't need a tune. Perhaps the OP is trying to avoid tuning his car so he doesn't void the warranty. Otherwise living in TX you'd be silly to choose shorties. I live in CA so I sorta had to do it, but anyway it sounds nice and was fun installing it myself.
