With the midsize Vibrant o2 extenders there aren't any issues with the car sniffing the o2 sensors. I need to find something like locktite the stop them from coming loose. If not then i will have to climb under the car every so often and make sure the o2 sensors are tight.
Are you familiar with safetywire?

You could either have a machine shop drill .032 safetywire holes(make sure the holes are closer to .040), or you could just wrap the safetwire around the top(plug end) of the sensor and loop it under the pip to keep it from backing out.

And safetywire can definitely handle the temps!

Also, subscribed as I currently have BBK shorties installed and just bought some JBA mid-pipes.

Just need to get my Camaro back and I'll be permagrin, except louder!

Should have an update in two hours. Bumping this so I can easily find it at the dyno shop.

Regardless of what the numbers are it sounds mean as hell, which is worth the cost alone in my opinion. But will be nice to have the new numbers too for an already strong pulling engine.

Ok. Here are the results and I'll polish this later. HP +23. Torque +22. As I understand it HP alone isn't the full picture but I'm sure that sounds like I'm justifying my modest Hp gain.

Was it a sustained gain over the RPM range, or a peak at certain levels? Area under the curve is always better in terms of overall gain. 5HP peak is much different than 5HP carried.

Not bad results at all though. A tune will really level it out later I bet when the time comes.

So most talk is that HF cats gives +20 RWHP I think?

So the shorties are giving around 3-5?

I'll publish the dyno graph tonight. I have shorty headers, high flow cats and a tune.

Subscribing. I have had this setup for 2 years. Got my CEL about 3 months after the install, however I think I have a leak on the driver's side header which I need to explore and fix. I didn't put on any extenders. So cool to see your dyno results!

Final Report

OK guys. Stick a fork in this post. It's done - finally! Below are the final results. Modest gains on paper but you can really feel the car pulling hard now vs. before. I think the tune made the most improvement and this wasn't something I'd planned to do.

Would love your (color) commentary ... positive and negative.

Fair gains, but lower than I'd expect to see with the tune. So, I wonder what you would have with those bolt-ons without the tune? The HF cats alone are supposed to produce those gains (so I've read). You're definitely right about the car pulling a lot harder with those mods though! There's not many people who do the shorties without the HFC's so it's hard to find numbers with and without those mods done separately. Thanks for posting all the info!
