My question is: is everybody else in the same boat? Want to burn rubber, thanks for any input.
Had the same thing with my vert. Of course temp will be a major player.
That being said turn of your traction control and make sure your wheel is pointed forward!!! Play with the RPM range when you let the clutch out and you'll soon find the right spot to get them spinning.

I will admit I enjoy getting in an empty lot with a friend and turning TC off and doing donuts. It's like slipping on ice and you feel like your on an amusement park ride.

My Bad I never saw the 90 degree temps, at that temp you would only get one pull and the IAT's would be smokin.. It is an oxymorron, the tires need high temps to work but the motor is a pig at high temps, the motor is crazy fast at 50 degree temps, but then the tires dont work, thus the reason I run an all season..

I have no problem spending my tires in first second or third gear. I can even be at 60 mph in sixth gear and jamb in the fourth step on the gas and it will spin the tires a little bit. This is with ZL1 stock tires

I have the same car, and I have never had a single issue of breaking them loose. Are you putting the car into competitive mode? If so it should really get sloppy on you. I can pull off very quickly without slipping much if I want too. I have a feeling you are driving it too well in a sense. Try watching some youtube burn out videos that should set you straight.

Agree that something is either wrong or the nannies aren't completely off. If I shut everything off I get to say hello to the quarter panel as it swings around. 2014 automatic.

Never been a problem spinning even stock. I always just push the PTM button twice get two lights in dashboard and spin them away. Ive never held button down for 7seconds before, I just double tap and go.

Is this the same as holding it down for 7 seconds. I always hold it down. I heard just double tapping it doesn't completely turn everything off. Now this could be complete B.S. but would love to know for sure?? Any clue?

Double tapping the button put it in PTM mode then you choose which PTM mode you want by plus and minus. If you want to go old-school and turn everything off hold the button down for 7 seconds

Performance Traction
Management (PTM) (ZL1
Coupe Only)
PTM integrates the TCS,
StabiliTrak, and Selective Ride
Control systems to provide
improved and consistent
performance when cornering. The
amount of available engine power is
based on the mode selected, track
conditions, driver skill, and the
radius of each corner.
These

Right out of the owners manual.

One tap turns off traction control the 2nd turns off stabilitrac. What else to you need?? After all who's driving you or the freakin car(computer)?? I don't need no stinking 5 ptm modes! You either can drive or you cant!

It also doesn't have a belly pan and speed limited to 155. The limits of owning a vert.
