It’s time to head out to the MTI Racing Trackday at Roebling Road Raceway, Savannah, GA!!
September 17, 18 (Sat 17th – Camaros, Sun 18th – Corvettes)

Welcome to the 3rd annual “MTI Racing Camaro Trackday”!!!
Every year we love to have fun at the track. This year, we will be traveling to historic Savannah GA to run on Roebling Road Raceway. Roebling Road’s history dates back to the 60’s. The track has safe, sweeping turns and a straightaway that is ½ mile long. So bring your speed, excitement and enthusiasm!

We will also be visiting the historic downtown Savannah which has 275 years of treasure tales, and US History. Guys, please inform your wives that Savannah also has romantic walks and quaint shops. The leaves will begin to change color and you want to include her in the trip. So don’t come alone, let’s make it a getaway!

Back to racing…
The MTI Racing Camaro Trackday is a track enjoyment event. You get to lap around the road course and drive your brains out! All Camaros are invited. We welcome all novice and experienced drivers. We will also be conducting driver coaching to train those who are new to the track. Also, bring your camera/camcorder. Lots of memories to go home with.







How do I attend?
Step 1: Must bring a Camaro, (any Gen) or rent one.

Step 3: Bring a Helmet and You’re in!

We are alternating the track weekend with the Vintage Driving Club, so there will be plenty of Vintage Racecars and “eye candy” to look at between your driving time on the track.

Here’s how the schedule will go:

Saturday, Sept 17th
7:00am - Registration and tech inspection at the track
7:30am - We’ll have a Camaro Driver’s Meeting, then it is time to play!
Camaros on the track throughout the day for 5 sessions (approx 25-30 minutes each)
4:30pm - Track shutdown

After the track, we’re going to “The Pirate’s House” for dinner. It used to be an old pirates’s hangout that turned into a really nice restaurant. It still has smuggling tunnels still under the restaurant. It would be great if we can get as many people gathered as we can to attend.

For Sunday, we were thinking of brunch at Paula Deen’s, then having a group photo opportunity across the river, then going cruising through town towards Tybee Island. (details TBD)



HOTELS:
The 2 hotels we recommended are across from each other. They each have special rates for MTI Racing. If you want to stay in a van, down by the river, we cannot guarantee biscuits and gravy, so please patronize the Hawthorn, or the Holiday Inn Express. The hotels have rooms blocked off for you until August 17th, so please arrange the hotel accommodations as soon as you can. After that, they’ll still honor the room rates, but we just want to make sure that the vacancies are available.

The Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham is the Host Hotel. They have 2 TV’s in each suite. They are also the “Official Hangout Hotel” Saturday night until about 1am. Pool closes at 10pm. There is also a tavern next door. The Hotel has wireless and hard-wired internet in the rooms for uploading mega pictures from the weekend.

For those of you thinking of bringing wives,

1) We will bring a BUNCH of EZ-UP tents with lots of chairs so there will be plenty of shelter in the shade.
2) Our wives will be there too, with the kids!
3) We're brainstorming on more cool things to do while at the track!
