Does anyone know the stock ZL1 alignment specs and if the suspension gurus like Pedders and PFADT have different recommended specs?

Some extra negative camber sure would tuck the tires in some.

Couldn't agree more! I think if they weren't gonna do the exact ZL1 wheel/tire set up they should have done the ZL1 front wheel/tire all the way around would have been better.
Here ya go.

There were 4 1LE's GM had at the Fest and could not get an answer why they did that when I asked the engineers.
According to the Inside Line article:
"See, the 1LE package adds the 20-by-10-inch-wide front wheels and 20-by-11-inch-wide rear wheels straight off the ZL1. But instead of also employing the ZL1's staggered tire setup (285/35s up front and 305/35s at the rear), those crafty development engineers stretched the ZL1's narrower front tires over the 11-inch rear wheels in their quest to dial out understeer."

Hope this answeres that question!

So make the rear slide to match the front? Sounds like a band-aid.

My first mod on a 1LE would be some ZL1 rear tires. I seriously doubt I would notice any understeer, but it sure would look good. Those stretched out sidewall rears on the 1LE are hideous, I don't care what it does for handling. I don't see how ZL1 tires on all 4 corners are going to be a problem. I've been in an SS on ZL1 rubber and some Pedders goodies, handled like it was on rails. I'm sure the 1LE handles great, but if it looks odd, what's the point.

On the original topic, I think the ZL1 tires are the perfect size for the ZL1.

Well wheel alignment can be set to Pedders aggressive street, with stock centrics

To get more aggressive then Pedders aggressive street you will need Pedders full alignment kit.

By the way the aggressive steet improves turnin and road feel.

Oh and I do know it will wear tires faster.

Im am going to install Pedders full alignment kit, I like the aggressive street, but think I will like a more aggressive alignment.

I ran camber at 1.5, max caster in my four gen track car. I loved it when I drove on track or on public roads.

Killer Stance!

If I can add my 2 cents. There is nothing wrong with the track width of the Z. But, I wish they had engineered specific ZL1 fenders that were slightly wider as they are exactly the same as all other Camaro models. The body panels are so susceptible to road debris pitting chipping and dings since those sticky tires throw up so much shizit. Would have made the ZL1 even more special IMO as well. Jus Sayin'

The ZL1 looks great the way it is but if you don't like it, don't buy it or if you want wider fenders, nobody will stop you from putting them on your own. However, there was a thread a while back with some wide fenders added to an SS and as usual, there are those that liked it and those that did nothing but complain.

I was thinking about this thread when I was at an event this weekend. There were 6-7 ZL1's there. I still agree with Sux, the fronts stick out too much for my taste too.
