Just make sure you snug them up real good so you don't get exhaust leaks, and be ready for codes. They really do give a nice boost!

I tired getting my Midpipes swapped out here in So Cal,but none of the muffler shops here would do it cause i am taking the cats off !!
And i rather not attempt it myself ,i might not have the right tools to get the O2 sensors off ! With my luck , i will probably get a stubborn O2 sensor .LOL. The search continues !! |

Just get a couple of jack stands and a creeper. If you have a crescent wrench, you should be able to get the o2 sensors out. If they are stubborn, just hit them with some pb blaster and let them soak for a few minutes. Mine were stubborn and I ended up just getting a good angle and hitting/kicking the wrench down. Also, it helps out a lot to take the bracket off that is about a foot or so aft of where the pipes bolt up to the catback. That way you can move the catback around to fit up to the off road pipes. But if you do that, just make sure not to let the catback hang, as it will stretch the exhaust hangers. All in all, even at a beginner level, just doing those mid pipes should only take you 30 minutes to an hour. I dove into my long tubes install, and that was a bit more daunting. Best of luck. =D

A basic socket set and a crescent wrench will get it done, man. Just sayin...
