They're always threatening us in one way or another. How is this any different?

Do they know what we have? Anyone watch future weapons? More like past weapons but ok. The thing that shoots missiles out of the sky and turns them into vapor? LOL If they try they will be gone so fast.

The real threat is that the current regime is starting to feel cornered like a rabid dog.

Standing still in front of that rabid dog gets you into trouble.

Either you back away slowly and let the dog die of rabies, or you shoot the dog.

As I said, they are crazy. Which makes them very dangerous.

Of course the US will beat the living snot out of them if it comes down to it, but a lot of people in South Korea and maybe even Japan will die before it gets done. And as the article says, close to 25,000 US military are there.

North Korea has a 1.2 million soldiers (fourth largest standing army in world) ready to run south and they are fanatical as their leaders.

And we really don't know how many nukes they have.

I have often though that the only thing that saves the South, is if the Chines invade from the North.

wow... i wonder if they realize america has a missle defense shield... they do... don't they?.. anyone want to call up kim jong-il and let him know?

also worth noting in news today: http://www.newjerseynewsroom.com/int...missile-launch
Quote:
PENTAGON — U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates says he has ordered the deployment of a new missile defense system and a sophisticated tracking radar to respond to any North Korean missile launch that threatens Hawaii.
if north korea launched a missile AT A COUNTRY i think the international community would sanction the sh!$ out of them, and essentially cripple the country. testing a nuke they got away with, launching it at the states? that'd be war.

We will have to be watching the Koreans along with the middle easterns. Terrorism would be a problem, mark my word with that many of them already in the U.S. it would be hard to watch all of them. Remember what they did while flying planes??? KAMIKAZE

Rocket launches and nuclear tests have yielded both attention and concessions in the past, so they went with what works. This time however, they have the entire world against them. I don't think (i hope) this will get much further than the usual empty threats.

North Korea has a lot of people in uniform, and its artillery can cause horrific damage to Seoul. But North Korea spends about half a billion dollars a year on its military. South Korea alone spends 40 times that amount. And the United States spends 1,000 times more. Neither China nor Russia would support any North Korean military action. To quote Futurama, they're boned.
